The program features the concert suite from “The Polar Express,” including “Believe,” “The Polar Express,” “When Christmas Comes to Town,” and “Spirit of the Season.” Additional selections include award-winning composer Julie Giroux’s “Away in a Manger” and “Jingle Them Bells,” as well as Alfred Reed’s “A Jubilant Overture,” his “Arioso” arrangement of Bach’s “Cantata No. 156,” and “Greensleeves.” “Festive Sounds of Hanukah,” “Deck the Halls with Boughs of Holly,” “Clear Track Polka,” and “A Christmas Festival” round out the program with holiday favorites.
The Symphonic Band of the Palm Beaches is a nonprofit organization dedicated to musical expression and growth among its membership and local music students by providing public concerts, scholarships for talented students and grants to local public school music programs.
