Fashion Island hotel to be replaced with Pendry Newport Beach following acquisition

Fashion Island Hotel Newport Beach will have a new look by summer 2023, following a property acquisition announced earlier this month by Montage International and Eagle Four Partners.

“As local owners, we are thrilled to be the new stewards of the former Fashion Island Hotel at the heart of Newport Beach. We are dedicated to continuously investing in Newport Beach and elevating the hospitality experience of our neighbors and guests,” said Kevin Martin of Eagle Four Partners in a statement.

Spring break alcohol restrictions approved for South Beach

Spring breakers expecting to party in South Beach until the crack of dawn will be forced to stop drinking at 2 a.m. for two weeks in March under a new alcohol ban that will be in effect for the city’s most popular nightlife areas.
